Hi all,

please share the best model repositories you know.

Here are my tips for a start:

- Tip 1: GrabCAD - Solid Models that can mostly be printed and easily be modified
- Tip 2: Thingiverse.com - Geometric Models ready as STL for printing

Have fun

Tim

http://archive3d.net/ Pros: Tons of free models. Cons: Tons of low quality models, may require adjustment for 3d printing.
http://www.the3dstudio.c...0=1&search=printable Pros: Good quality models, Printable. Cons: Not free.
http://www.turbosquid.com Pros: Lots of models. Cons: Not many free models, primarily designed for use in TV/Film so modification is likely to be required.

Hi, I would like to recommend a 3D model search engine called Yobi3D. You can search with simple keywords and see the results in 3D. It's a useful tool for people who are looking for 3D files to print.
